Hometown: Corning, NY, unless you consider it Columbus, OH where I was born, but don't remember.
Dating Status: On sabbatical.
Where'd Ya Go To School: SUNY Geneseo in New York...at least from what I can remember.
One Thing People Are Surprised To Know About Me: When I was younger, I thought about becoming a minister like Dr. Roy H. Turley. By the way my grandfather was an Irish, one-eyed Methodist minister.
In High School I Was Voted "Most Likely To..." Not to become a minister.
Favorite Toothpaste: Toothpaste?
"When I Was Younger, I Got In Trouble For...": Most of the same things I still get in trouble for now!
If You Opened Up My CD Player, What 5 CD's Would You Find: Santana, Eminem, Bonnie Raitt, James Taylor, & Willie Nelson.
Jobs You Had When You Were Younger: One summer I worked on a horse farm, I spent another whole summer trimming bushes, doing construction, and three long, prison-like years in the kitchen of a dining hall at college.
Most Embarrassing Radio Moment?: There are so many to pick from. Either the time I told the guy interviewing me for my first job that his little sister was "Hot" or the time I accidently used the "F" word while waking up the entire city of Corning. Or the time they sent me to interview a very important man but failed to mention that most of his tongue had been removed because of cancer. Finally, when the station owner finally found out I had been seeing his daughter!
When They Make A Movie Of Your Life, Which Celebrity Will Play The Part of You?: George Carlin or Howard Hesseman would probably have to fight over the role.
The Warvel & Curry Morning Show
You know Ryan Seacrest from his TV hosting gigs on E! and American Idol. In addition to his weekend countdown show "American Top 40", Ryan is now our Star 104 mid-day host weekdays from 10am-2pm! Tune in for "On-Air With Ryan Seacrest" for your daily dose of celebrity buzz and everything going on in Hollywood, plus the Top 5 tunes of the day at Noon!
Originally from Atlanta, GA, Seacrest's professional career in broadcasting began at the age of 16 when he applied for an internship at one of Atlanta's top radio stations, WSTR-STAR 94. While working at STAR 94, he finished high school and went on to attend the University of Georgia, where he majored in journalism.
Ryan is joined on air by Ellen K, one of the most recognizable voices in radio. Originally a Veterinary Science major, Ellen took an internship at a local radio station. After one fill-in shift behind the mic, she was hooked; she switched her major to Radio/TV/Film. Over the course of the next decade, radio jobs would take Ellen from her small Indiana surroundings to San Diego, San Francisco and finally Los Angeles. There she joined the legendary Rick Dees in the Morning show for more than 10 years, and hosted the nationally syndicated Rhythm Countdown, a show that won her dozens of Marconi and Billboard Radio Awards.
